Marisa Miller's Women's Health Magazine Tips

Adding to the tally of her Health/Shape and all things fitness mag covers, Marisa Miller gives us all inspiration for the new year, covering the January/February 2012 issue of Women's Health.

Tips are the top subject of the interview, well it is Marisa - who better to get tips from.

On crushing calories with Stand-Up Paddling: "You're cruising around, so you're not focused on the hard work you're doing. And you can modify the workout and go faster and slower."

On being a shy person: "I'm very shy. I know it's weird for a person who models lingerie and swimsuits, but I don't like to be the center of attention!"

On gaining confidence: "Eighty percent of the things I do are not natural for my personality. I believe you have to fake it till you make it. Act like you're confident and you'll get there.

On stengthening a relationship by sharing a project:"Our dog has become our child. We take [our Italian greyhound] Lula to the beach to run, we potty-trained her, and she sleeps in our bed. She's the first thing we raised together, so that means a lot."

On her diet trick of eating with less clothes on:"Eating smart is all about having an awareness of your body. The most obvious way to do that is by seeing it. So when you're trying to lose weight, spend more time wearing less. I don't think I could eat a plate of nachos naked - could you?"

Rosie worked hard to get into shape for the film and told Women's Health Magazine a few of her secrets.

As well as exercises, such as sprints on a Versa Climber machine, and 30 yards of "Spiderman crawls" (going on all fours along a track), Rosie would drink "Green shakes" which were a blend of spinach, celery, and apples.

In the article in the July 2011 issue, Rosie wore a Michael Kors bikini with a tank top from Isabel Marant.

AnnaLynne McCord does Shape Magazine

AnnaLynne McCord shows off her bod in a gorgeous pink L Space bikini on cover of the March 2010 issue of Shape magazine - and let's everyone in on some of her diet and excerise tips.

Here's a few extracts, check out the mag or shape.com for more -

Growing up in Georgia, AnnaLynne was surrounded by high-calorie foods. "It's all about butter, sugar, fried, and deep-fried," she said. Because of her crazy-busy schedule—she's on set at 6 a.m. most days and sometimes not in bed until 1 or 2 the next morning—breakfast is the only meal AnnaLynne eats at a normal time. Usually she has an egg sandwich or French toast-or both if she's really hungry. She tends to graze the rest of the day, grabbing a turkey and ham sandwich for lunch, a handful of red and green pepper strips with ranch dressing or cereal bars for a snack, and vegetable soup plus fish or chicken for dinner.

Talking about how she stays in shape AnnaLynne said: "When I first moved to LA, I didn’t have a lot of money to join a gym or take classes, so I improvised. My sister and I went to the library and looked over their DVD collection and discovered Neena and Veena, these Egyptian twins who have a whole series of belly dancing routines. We did them all. When you’re shaking your booty, you can’t help but feel beautiful and sexy."

And for more keep fit:
"With my unpredictable work hours, I rarely have time to exercise and have fun, so my idea of a good workout is to mix them both," she says. "I love being outdoors, playing beach tennis, going for runs in the sand, or doing a three-hour hike with my best girlfriend, Mieko." Three hours? "Yeah, we go to Runyon Canyon or some other hiking trail and just walk and talk for hours," she says. "It's our one-on-one time."

For anyone interested a brown version of AnnaLynne's bikini is on-line at bluefly.net.

Alicia Silverstone does Health Magazine

Alicia Silverstone is looking pretty on the cover of September's issue of Heath magazine. The star, once voted Sexiest Female Vegetarian, talked about her vegan diet, new book and fondness for gardening in the nude -

Talking about her new book The Kind Diet:
“I’m excited about presenting something that can make you feel amazing and look your best. Once you’re informed, then you can be really gentle and kind to yourself, by giving yourself all the gifts life has to offer—like mental clarity and vitality—all while making the planet better."

On gardening naked
: "I think it evolved through my new happiness with my body-and also through cool friends. I used to spend a lot of time with Woody Harrelson, and he's not afraid to get naked."

On her vegan diet and life style:
"It's weird to be 32 now and feel and look younger… Right after I first made the switch to a plant-based diet, people were literally telling me, 'What have you done? You're sparkling.'"

“Diet first, exercise second. Exercise is fantastic, and when I need to be a certain way quickly, I amp up my exercise by walking the dogs and doing yoga.”

"You can hear your needs and desires more clearly. You’re just more juicy—there’s just this lightness that happens."

Marisa Miller does Fitness Magazine

Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller is the cover girl for November's issue of Fitness Magazine, and with that body it's easy to see why.

Inside Marisa talks about how she keeps in shape and reveals some diet and beauty secrets too -

Q - How do you prepare for the Victoria Secret show?
"For the five days leading up to the show, I train with my boxing instructor, Phil Paolina. We do different punch combinations - jabs, hooks, uppercuts - and combinations that include ducking, which incorporates squat-like moves for my legs. We do this in the ring for 10 rounds - each round is three minutes and I get a one-minute break in between, during which I do as many crunches as I can.

Q - As a model, do you follow a specific diet?
"I try not to eat carbs for dinner because I don’t like to sleep on a full stomach. In the morning I’ll have an English muffin or Ezekiel bread, which is all grains and legumes, with protein in it too. If I’m really good, I’ll make an omelet with vegetables. And cheese - I have to have cheese in there somewhere. For lunch and dinner, I eat protein, like tuna and a spinach salad. I don’t change my eating routine for the show, I just follow this plan a little more strictly.
