The theme was punk for this year's Costume Institute Gala, but this looks like an outfit Kate Beckinsale would wear to any event - maybe bar the edgy Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Kate stuck with one of her usual updo hairstyles, and wore a bright Alberta Ferretti dress with an asymmetric hem that showed off her toned legs and black Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
An Edie Parker clutch bag completed the look.
