Kate & Gwyneth's Pink Punk Styles

So, pink equals punk, right? That's what Gwyneth Paltrow certainly seemed to think, because not much else about her outfit seemed to match with the punk theme of the Costume Institute Gala exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum on May 6.

Gwyneth wore a mesh-insert design gown from Valentino along with Wilfredo Rosado earrings.

Also in pink, but much more punk, was Kate Bosworth who said she was like a warrior in the heavily embellished Balmain dress she said of "I feel like I'm wearing armour".

Kate completed her look with Christian Louboutin heels, and black clutch bag.

Kate Bosworth in Pucci & Prabal Gurung

At the Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection event in New York City which was also attended by Karlie Kloss, Kate Bosworth was looking elegant in her Emilio Pucci dress and earrings from Alexandra Mor.

While her dress wasn't from the range, Kate wore it with a Prabal Gurung for Target + Neiman Marcus clutch bag, plus co-ordinating black point-toe heels which were also by Prabal Gurung.

Mixed prints seemed to be the trend at the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York.

Kate Bosworth, always a trendsetter anyway, was another in print, wearing an Altuzarra dress.

Her amazingly elegant black ankle strap heels are Gianvito Rossi.

Somewhere between casual and dressed-up sits Kate Bosworth's outfit in these candids out in Beverly Hills.

Kate wore a simple grey sweater over her floaty dress and teamed the look with funky Isabel Marant trainers.

She teamed the Prabal Gurung frock with simple black heels and pretty much kept it simple - just glad she didn't decide to go with make-up like the runway.

Literally pretty in pink, Kate Bosworth was out for the L!fe Happens premiere at the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival on June 18.

Bilson & Bosworth at Burberry

Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth were among the stars who came out for Burberry during London Fashion Week on February 21.

Rachel arrived in a cosy-looking puff coat from the designer that she whipped off inside to reveal her pretty dress that was accessorized with Burberry clutch bag and ankle boots.

Kate was Burberry stud-adorned in her beige Spring 2011 collection ensemble from the design house that was paired with booties from Bubrerry too.

Kate Bosworth at the Calvin Klein Show

Kate Bosworth came out for the Calvin Klein show on February 17 during New York Fashion Week. 

He's one of her favoured designers and Kate donned a bright orange dress from the Spring 2011 collection. 

She wore it with black wedge ankle boots and also carried Derek Lam's Ram's Head Buffalo Leather Mini Bag, which is on-line at Saks Fifth Avenue, available in Black, and White.

Black leather is the look at the moment!  Joining the recent looks of Olivia Palermo and Leighton Meester, Kate Bosworth donned a black leather bodice dress too.

Attending the Another Happy Day premiere on January 23, Kate teamed the fab little Chloé dress with some ankle-strapped Isabel Marant heels.

Such a great look but would have been so much better minus those tights.

Kate Bosworth papped out in LA a few days back (January 18).

Kate was in a simple blue denim dress accessorized with lace-up brogues, Celine sunnies, and one of the popular Alexander Wang "Rocco" Studded bags.

Among the books she was carrying was a Topshop 214 catalogue with lots of notes marking pages, so maybe we can expect to see Kate in a lot of Topshop items soon.

Kate Bosworth teamed her dark jeans and suede Isabel Marant booties with a fuzzy cream sweater while shopping at Barneys in LA on December 22.

Out shopping on the same day as Kate, Jennifer Lopez opted for an oversized cardigan with her Adriano Goldschmied jeans and Ugg Bailey Button boots (on-line at amazon).

Ashley Tisdale added color and cosiness to her look, donning a blue Betsey Johnson Trapper hat (on-line, no longer in blue, though, at betseyjohnson.com).

And Ashley's High school Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens was super sweet in her Spirit Hoods Wolf Hood which she wore with a white cardi, black mini dress, and DVF wedges.

Kate Bosworth was at the Hollywood Style Awards on December 12 looking simply splendind in her maxi gown.

The Jil Sander Spring 2011 dress looked like two pieces: fresh white tee and cool like pistachio ice cream colored skirt.

Kate's style always looks pretty effortless but it may owe a lot to her stylist Cher Coulter who she presented with the Stylist of the Year award.

2010 Met Gala Dresses - Nudes and Neutrals

So many stars were at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala Benefit on May 3 that it would take pages of posts to go through them all. Here's a round-up of some of the biggest colors and trends featured, first up nudes and neutrals - they've been big news in fashion recently and the shades were donned by many on the mets red carpet -

Sarah Jessica Parker and Alessandra Ambrosio both more pale, shimmering shades, SJP in a Halston design and Alessandra in a dress by Versace.

Jessica Biel pulled off a satin halterdress from Ralph Lauren.

Kate Bosworth was beautiful in her Valentino dress which had touches of pink.

Emilie de Ravin (in Valentino), Anne Hathaway (also in Valentino) and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in Bubrerry) all went with more tan/caramel shades.

The usual mix of stars was out to enjoy the first day of the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California on April 16.
