A fairytale gown is what you first see with Jessica Biel's look for the Costume Institute Gala on May 6, but she did have quite a few punk touches to fit with the night's theme.

First up, she teamed her black Giambattista Valli gown with matching black macrame legwear, and a custom snakeskin clutch, and leather heels - also from Valli.

Check out her silver faux septum nose ring too!  Not sure if that would be Fred Leighton like the rest of her jewels.

Taking a huge step away from her Total Recall movie looks, Jessica Biel went all sugarplum fairy in a pale pink full-skirted dress for the L.A. premiere of the movie.

Jessica wore the Christian Dior couture dress with Tom Binns jewels and Vuitton shoes.

Worst outfit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations Costume Institute Gala perhaps goes to Jessica Biel.

While other stars dressed up Jessica looked more dressed for a spring fete in her Prada sheath dress that's best part was it's cascading beaded detailing.

Her co-ordinating shoes, and clutch were also Prada, while her jewels (said to be worth $2 million were from Lorraine Schwartz).

On the arm of Justin Timberlake he eschewed Prada in favour if a Tom Ford suit, accessorized with bow-tie and a Cartier watch.

Biel & Beckinsale's Total Recall Event Looks

Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale were in Cancun for the photocall for the Total Recall remake they're both appearing in along with Colin Farrell.

If there's going to be any style war between the leading ladies on their tour of the movie, Ms. Beckinsale has definitely won the first leg.

Kate looked fab in a black slit J. Mendel dress and Nicholas Kirkwood heels, while Jessica was a bit dowdy in a slim-leg Giambattista Valli trouser and blouse combo.

Co-ordinating the red and black of Jessica's look were some Christian Louboutin sandals.
